The first session, under the theme “Governing the Internet as a Public Sphere par Excellence: Challenges and Perspectives,” aimed to promote dialogue, cooperation, and inclusive and open discussion with various stakeholders on issues related to the Internet and the most relevant matters for the consolidation and expansion of the Internet in Mozambique.
The session featured the presence of Marta Moreira Dias, President of LusNIC, who spoke about LusNIC’s role in Internet Governance in Lusophone countries and the challenges and perspectives for increasing the presence of the Portuguese language in cyberspace. She also mentioned the importance of digital sovereignty in promoting a safe and neutral internet.
