Workshop “International Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities”

LusNIC will participate in the workshop “International Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities” that will take place on July 19, in Lisbon, at IAPMEI. 

The workshop is organized by the Portuguese National Authority of Communications (ANACOM) and the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT), with the objective of discussing the current state and future developments of international connectivity. 

Participation is free and open to all interested parties, until July 14.

The workshop takes place in the context of the preparation of the Portuguese Internet Governance Initiative of 2017. This initiative will take place on 28 of September and is co-organized by the following entities: ANACOM, APDSI, DNS.PT, FCT, IAPMEI and ISOC Portugal. From this workshop, ideas, concerns and issues will be presented worldwide at the Internet Governance Forum from 18 to 21 December in Geneva, with the theme “Shape Your Digital Future!”

1st Lusophone Internet Governance Forum

On the 18th and 19h of September, the 1st Internet Governance Forum of the Lusophone Community will take place at the Museum of the Portuguese Language in São Paulo - Brazil.

Among the topics under discussion will be the Internet governance ecosystem, the Portuguese language on the Internet, the Global Digital Compact and the challenges and opportunities for the development of the Internet in Portuguese-speaking countries.
