A cooperation protocol was signed at the .PT headquarters between the Government of Cape Verde and MUDA – Movement for Active Digital Use, in a ceremony attended by the Secretary of State for the Digital Economy of Cape Verde, Pedro Lopes.
LusNIC has joined this initiative, which represents another step in strengthening digital cooperation between Portuguese-speaking countries, focusing on the development of digital skills, inclusion, and the promotion of sustainable digital transformation.
The protocol establishes a set of actions aimed at strengthening the Cape Verdean digital ecosystem, including:
Digital training programs for young entrepreneurs, integrating artificial intelligence tools applied to the business context.
Adapting digital literacy programs already implemented in Portugal to the local context, promoting the transfer of knowledge and best practices.
Holding of the seminar “Smart Nations – Sustainable Digital Transformation for the Lusophone World”, at the Cape Verde Technology Park.
Strengthening Portuguese-speaking cooperation in digital transformation and digital inclusion.
With this support, LusNIC reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to initiatives that promote capacity building, collaboration, and sustainable development in the Portuguese-speaking digital ecosystem, particularly in Portuguese-speaking African countries.
