On February 23rd, LusNIC held a practical workshop dedicated to DNSSEC, as part of the digital capacity building program developed in partnership with the Coalition for Digital Africa/ICANN.
The session was led by Assis Guerreiro (.PT) and included the participation of 10 representatives from African ccTLDs that are members of LusNIC (.cv, .ao, .st, .gw and .mz), ensuring representation from all registries in the community.
With a practical approach, the workshop aimed to reinforce skills in the implementation and operation of DNSSEC in a registry context, delving into technical aspects considered priorities by participants throughout the training cycle. The session included practical exercises and real-world configuration examples, promoting the exchange of experiences between technical teams.
This initiative follows up on previous sessions held in Maputo and online, consolidating a training path aimed at strengthening the security, resilience, and operational maturity of the National Defense Service (DNS) in Portuguese-speaking African countries.
Participants who complete the full training cycle will receive an individual certificate. The program has been recognized for its contribution to strengthening regional technical cooperation and capacity building within the African ccTLD community.
